- Steve joined TapIntoIT in January 2024. Steve has over 28 years’ experience in IT roles ranging from individual and group IT systems support to systems administration and internal network infrastructure maintenance. Prior to this, he worked in the electronics field and has an HNC in Electronics.
Steve Boyd
He retired from his last role during the pandemic in 2021 and started doing voluntary work in early 2022 to help support people who may otherwise be disadvantaged in their use of technology. - I worked in social care and social work for 27 years from 1983-2010. I didn't use a computer and the internet myself till 1990 but once over the initial shock and struggle to get up to speed, started to realise the huge potential benefits for connection with others and staying active and involved, particular to us as we get older or have health problems and disabilities and can't get out and about so easily. There's a real need for patient, accessible, trustworthy tech support though - Tap into IT strives to give you that!

Tap into IT provides an inclusive, locally accessible service and ongoing support to enable people to tap into the benefits of the internet and technology. Our services are aimed in particular at older people including those with disabilities.
